Harborough Road

Harborough Road This helpful cycle lane disappears briefly ahead to accommodate a right turn lane into a motor showroom.

This road, which runs past Her Majesty's Prison, Gartree, is called rather grimly, Gallow Fields.

Broughton Way

Road widened for the central island - rather defeating the whole point of these things which I think are presumably to regulate the speed.

Approach lane to an advanced stop line (ASL) on the fast, busy Broughton Way.

Broughton Way - quite a busy road, but the central hatching here allows for usual generous overtaking.

Crossing of the A5 at High Cross , Leicestershire for pedestrians and cyclists. Staggered crossing via a central island makes crossing of this dualled section the A5 less intimidating. This is the highest point on this section of Watling ... [more]

Conveniently located, covered cycle parking ;-)

A single No Entry sign - which is apparently unenforceable as there must be two such signs and they mean you cannot pass between them.

Same as #8734 three years later but the Woolworths is now shut down.

View of the inclined plane at Foxton on the Grand Union Canal. Not much to do with cycling, but a very important part of Britain's transport history!

A bicycle on display inside Foxton Locks inclined plane museum.

Start of the Millennium Mile through Welland Park. It looks like a cycle route, but theres a pretty horrible chicane and no dropped kerb at its start point.

Unusual two-way cycleway alongside the main carriageway in Market Harborough, but this driver seems to think its a parking space.
